How to include different components and modules. You will also learn what we at sauce mean when we say something, eg. We will define our terms for you. Introduction The SauceOpen platform is simple when it comes to building and maintaining your own website. Not only can you have your own website up and running within minutes, you can with a little preparation beforehand have your entire product list uploaded and saleable within an hour of your site being created, and as you will see soon with text files containing all of your policies and procedures, your site can be truly integrated in a day. Look and Feel Animated Modules Creation Account Creation Configuration Website Configuration Sections and Categories Sections and Categories in Joomla are used to let you manage your content for every part of your website, including your Web Store. When you create a new piece of content you need a content section and one or more content categories under each section. For example, if you want to publish some short stories on your site. Go to the section manager and create a new section called, for example, “Fiction”. Sections and Categories Then, if you plan to publish different types of stories, go to the categories manager, select the new section you just created on the dropdown list (”Fiction”) and create some categories like “Science-fiction”, “Thriller”, “Romance”... When you want to add a new thriller story to your site, just select content and when inputting the data, choose the category “Thriller” from the drop down list. Sections and Categories If we look at these in a hierarchical method, sections are larger than categories and categories contain content. Sections and Categories To manage content it is simply a matter of editing the area you need to. In some cases you will edit through the Content Items Manager via the Portal, in other cases you can edit directly from the Webpage. Editing Content Items Modules Your new SauceOpen platform is designed to be expanded. It already has a lot of features but at Sauce we are able to roll out new features and functionality in the shape of Modules. A Module is a plug-in that presents information on your site. It is possible to install modules yourself but we recommend that you only venture into doing so if you have a firm understanding of IT. An Example of a pre-configured module is Featured Products Module Components Components are applications that add functionality to your website. So when you want to add Forum functionality to your site, you will probably install both a Component and a Module. When you add a component, you’ll see it under the Components menu, and when you go there, you’ll see a whole new set of admin pages designed to help you set the features of that component. What is the knowledge base. What is the Help desk. How and when to create FAQ‘s. What are tickets and how to respond to them. Introduction Your level of customer support can often determine the amount of recurring business you receive. With SauceOpen you have a vast array of tools available to provide high levels of service to your customers, therefore increasing your chances of gaining repeat business. Knowledge Base The Knowledge base is a tool for providing support to your customers. When a ticket is logged in your CRM that has the possibility of being a frequently asked question, you can create the question and the solution and publish it on the knowledge base. This not only reduces the amount of tickets that you have to respond to, it also generates a positive experience for the customer because they can find the answer quickly. Helpdesk The HelpDesk is your number one tool for providing your customers with after sales support. The HelpDesk lets you create and manage a Knowledge Base that assists your customers in the purchasing process by making available all answers to their questions prior to purchasing. The HelpDesk is also what your message centre revolves around. Helpdesk With the Message Centre included in the Sauce Portal you can receive calls, faxes, e-mails or online enquiries any time and automatically bring those enquiries together in a single place with a continued connection to your CRM, so both you and the customer can monitor and respond to the enquiry. This way you can focus on investing your time in working on your business and attend to your customers in an organised and systematic fashion. Sales ManagerOverview This training module is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills required to; Differentiate between your Contacts, Accounts, Leads and Potentials. Create and distribute newsletters. Create Custom Reports. Understand the Dashboard. Introduction The SauceOpen platform is a very strong tool when it comes to assisting the service side of your business by supplying you with a customer relationship management (CRM) system that helps bring your accounts and contact list to life. Instead of just keeping phone numbers and address details, the CRM keeps track of all your interactions with your customers letting you support the selling process as well as the after sales processes such as support and rebuys. Accounts Accounts, Contacts, Leads and Potentials are sections in the CRM that allows you to micromanage your contacts. Contacts are simply the contact details for individuals you have contact with. These contacts may be within your organisation or they may be an existing cutomer, a potential customer or a supplier for example. Leads are potential customers that you have had contact with, either by answering a question or a request, but not yet introduced to your products or services. Accounts The Lead tab in your CRM is thus used to store potential customers that may or may not become customers at a later stage. When you convert a lead to a Potential an Account is created and the customers details are stored in your CRM for future use. An Account is a contact who you have had a transaction with as a seller, selling either goods or services. Newsletters SauceOpen allows you to create and send multiple newsletters to multiple groups of registered users on your Portal. While similar to an e-mail marketing campaign, it is designed to provide information through customers who have already registered on your website. Q & A If you have any questions, please ask them now. Communications ManagerOverview During this workshop you will learn the basic functions of sauceOpen relating to marketing and communications; How to create and operate the forums. How to keep your customers up to date with current relevant news services. What contact tools are available and how to use them. Introduction As we have briefly covered in early courses the Sauce Software Portal can be a strong partner for you in your business and this course will focus on showing you examples of what tools can be of help and how to set them up and generate value from them:
Forum Creation Posting in Forums News Services Keep your visitors informed with content relevant to your business. Your SauceOpen platform allows you to create newsfeeds from websites with news content related to your website. Creating Newsfeeds Contact Tools The Wiki is a tool for online collaboration, designed to make creating, changing and revising documents and pages quickly and easilly. When you use the wiki all involved parties can collectively contribute to the article without the need to send revisions of documents around via email or as hard text. Contact Tools With the Message Centre included in the Sauce Portal you can receive calls, faxes, e-mails or online enquiries any time and automatically bring those enquiries together in a single place with a continued connection to your CRM, so both you and the customer can monitor and respond to the enquiry. This way you can focus on investing your time in working on your business and attend to your customers in an organised and systematic fashion. Q & A If you have any questions, please ask them now. Knowledge ManagerOverview This training module is designed to provide an insight into ways SauceOpen can help to contribute to your business growth by; Using the Search Logging features available within the platform. Generating extra traffic through the use of Forums. Targeting specific markets through the use of newsletters. Keeping your customers informed and being contactable 24x7x365. Introduction The Knowledge Manager is the approach taken to implement the feature set of tools available through the Sales and Marketing Manager. It helps define ways to empower the tools available on SauceOpen, providing you with ways of increasing your business activities and maximising time management. Search Logging The search logging feature will help you discover what your customer’s main search requests are. After a very short time up and running you will be able to retrieve information that there is no way you would have known about had it not been for your new SauceOpen platform. Search Logging You can use this to determine what campaigns to run. Are your customers searching for a certain product type? Then feature it or put it on special. You can even run it as a Loss Leader Offer, i.e. Sell one popular item below cost in a bid to generate more sales. You could run it as a Lowest Price Point, i.e. You promote the items with the lowest price for each category, generating more interest, with the purpose of upselling. Forum Use your forums to promote your online presence. Get yourself, your staff and your customers to post topics and replies in the forums. Posting in the forums helps to promote a sense of worth as well as helping to develop a community atmosphere around your site. Forums Cont’d Think of popular websites you visit, the majority of them will have active forums. The more activity that is generated the more popular they become and the more exposure your website will gain. When your exposure reaches a certain level, you can then generate extra income through sponsored links, ie. Other companies will advertise through you to gain extra exposure for themselves. Letterman Letterman is a tool for generating newsletters. With the letterman feature you can easilly create internal or external newsletters. They can be personalised using the subscriber feature, allowing you to create one letter and sending it to multiple recipients personally named. The use of subscriber groups also allows you to target particular markets when you want to. Letterman As an example you may have one group who traditionally purchase item A and another group who purchase item B. You might be waiting for stock on item A, but have plenty of item B. With the use of the groups you can target item B purchasers on the Monday, making sales all week, then when stock arrives of item A, on Thursday, send out the second newsletter to the other group. Using this approach you will not saturate your market with multiple newsletters FAQ‘s The FAQ section in the HelpDesk lets you create knowledge accessible to staff and customers. Use the Wiki and the Forums on your website to keep updated on what questions your customers are most frequently asking and add them to your FAQ when appropriate. FAQ‘s When you launch an FAQ it becomes visible to anyone under the Support section of your website allowing customers to share knowledge created by you and your staff. This will keep your customers coming to your site in seek of knowledge and generate further valuable knowledge mBox When using the mBox and the two features of the HelpDesk section in your CRM system, a knowledge base is created that will assist your market’s purchasing process by making available all the resources they need to answer their question prior to purchasing. mBox delivers a professionally integrated communications system, combining features such as FAX, Voicemail, Email, into one point of access for ease of use.
